Gregory XIII
Born in Bologna in 1501 (or 1502), Ugo Boncompagni was elected pope on May 13th and crowned on May 25th, 1572; he died in Rome on April 10th, 1585 and was buried in the Basilica Vaticana

Innocent IX
Born in Bologna on July 20th, 1519, Giovanni Antonio Facchinetti de Nuce was elected pope on October 29th and crowned on November 3rd, 1591; he died in Rome on December 30th, 1591 after only two months of pontificate, and was buried in the Grotte Vaticane

Born in Bologna on January 9th, 1554, Alessandro Ludovisi was elected pope on February 9th and crowned on February 14th, 1621; he died in Rome on July 8th, 1623, and was buried in the church of Sant'Ignazio in Campo Marzio

Benedict XIV
Born in Bologna on March 31st, 1675, Prospero Lorenzo Lambertini was elected pope on August 17th and crowned on August 22nd; he died in Rome on May 3rd, 1758, and was buried in the Basilica Vaticana

Clement XIV
Born in Santarcangelo di Romagna on October 31st, 1705, Giovanni Vincenzo Antonio (in religion, Lorenzo) Ganganelli belonged to the Order of Friars Minor Conventual; he was elected Pope on May 19th and crowned on May 28th, 1769; he died in Rome on September 22nd, 1774, and was buried in the Basilica dei Santi XII Apostoli

Born in Cesena on August 14th, 1742, Barnaba (in religion, Gregorio) Chiaramonti was elected pope on March 14th and crowned on March 21st, 1800 in Venice; he belonged to the Benedictine order and died in Rome on August 20th, 1823; he was buried in the Basilica Vaticana
